Summary
Kate Laswell sends Ghost and Soap to team up with Colonel Alejandro Vargas in Las Almas, but there is an unease she can't shake. She calls in the Wraiths - masked, unknown soldiers from varying parts of the world, with no loyalty to one specific country but to each other and the operation they're tasked with. They're known for getting things done quickly and quietly, perfect for assistance for the operation in Mexico.
"Church" (OC/You) touches down with your team in Las Almas, Mexico to assist Task Force 141 and Los Vaqueros in their quest to find the local cartel drug lord, El Sin Nombre. But also working this mission is someone you had hoped you would never see again: your deceased older brother's former commanding officer, Phillip Graves, and his Shadow Company. Weaving a complicated past with the events of MW2 (2022), you must work together with new allies and old enemies to stop a common enemy.
Throughout it all, you grow close to the leader of Los Vaqueros, Colonel Alejandro Vargas, and among growing feelings and a betrayal that ruins everything, you have to decide: will you stay a Wraith, or be forced to begin a new path?

It's been 10 months since the events in Las Almas, Mexico, where Commander Graves attempted to take the Los Vaqueros base from Colonel Alejandro Vargas unsuccessfully. It's been 10 months since Charlotte "Charlie" Young has seen the members of her former team, the Wraiths, all of whom have been presumed dead. Charlie (Reader/OFC) finds herself an honorary member of Task Force 141 under Kate Laswell, assisting the men who saved her life once before, working to find more information about the mysterious terrorist entity led by a man named Makarov. With General Shepherd still missing, and the remnants of Shadow Company beginning to shift around again, Charlie is trying to reset her military career.
But if there is one thing that she has learned during her time with the Wraiths, it is that the ghosts of your past never stop haunting you.
