  “Yes. Neutralized.” The Manager spoke slowly, coldly, like Spireal was a child and not a full-grown adult. “Euthanized. Put down like a sick dog.”

  - Agent Yoon-Hoo dared throw caution to the wind, and it cost her mind. Now it's Agent Spireal's problem (though he'd much prefer it not be), and, really, this wasn't what he signed up for when he joined the Wings.
  It may end up costing more than just Yoon-Hoo's mind.

  Summary

  Daphne pushed the thought away, tightening their hold on their Blade of Penitence. They tried not to look at, tried not to think about the gore decorating the halls. They’d get used to it, they assumed, sickeningly so, as they scanned the halls for another worm to target—
  —an ear-splitting scream shattered all of Daphne’s focus.

  - Captain Rogun sent Agent Daphne and Agent Siki to handle the morning Ordeal alone -- surely, two fully trained Agents could handle a couple of worms without backup. At least, that was the idea. At least, Daphne thought, they succeeded in "minimizing Clerk deaths."
