Summary
The brightness of their hotel room told him what the clock could not: it was daytime and his seishin was still sleeping. They had been up late and they had enjoyed other amorous activities in between their rounds of Sexy Belt Sex so it was not terribly surprising. However, it was his own urges that surprised him. Normally, he preferred to allow Phantasmo to rest, particularly when they were lying like this. Phantasmo was curled against his side, arm and legs possessively sprawled across his body. More than once in these days and nights together, he had muttered that his body was his own personal heater and Shingo still marveled at how something that had been regarded by others as undesirable was something that Phantasmo happily claimed.
Much like his heart.

"You're supposed to be letting me congratulate you on winning, you know?" Shingo smirked and Phantasmo wondered if that one little gesture was always going to be so damn sexy. "Did you have fun?"
His plans for tonight had been completely derailed by getting looked over by a doctor that had clearly not been expectedly the sorts of bumps and bruises that wrestling gave you. And then he'd done his best to help Hikuleo get to his hotel room. It had been sorta comical given the difference in their heights but the careful hug he'd gotten from his tag team partner had made it worth it. Phantasmo had been almost tempted into wandering down to the end of the hall and collapsing onto their hotel bed. Succumbing to exhaustion and bruises and seeing Shingo when he eventually got back.
But his heart and the rest of him had wanted to be right here - leaning up against the wall in a hallway as Shingo left the ring with the title over his shoulder. The cowboy hat was just an extra added bonus.

There was a softness in his eyes that gave away just how concerned Phantasmo had been for his well-being. As they had sat together drinking coffee before heading out for New Year Dash, he had happily encouraged him to confront Jon Moxley after the show - suggested seeing if he could bait him into a match such as the one they had just had simply because Phantasmo knew that he wished to test his strength in that manner. Not for a moment had Shingo suspected that beneath his grin and teasing about post-match sexy times as he referred to them, Phantasmo was hiding so much worry. But there it was. Finally escaping him now that the deed was done. His seishin had such a gentle soul that he let so few see.
