Summary
My Tav (Veritas) becoming the leader of the weirdos. I initially wasn't going to make Veri the leader and have Gale be instead because I thought at first she isn't really leader material. Then I watch a Youtuber making the skit of why Gale shouldn't be leader. I forget his name, so then I started to doubt, so I decided to ask a friend I roleplay with if Veri was a good leader. To which she said, "I think she could be, but she would need to overcome her issue of always trying to deal with everything by herself and doing impulsive shit."
..... So in conclusion, I just put in my self-insert that has as much trauma that's as bad as Gale and Wyll. Probably won't help, when I write that she doesn't see her baggage not that bad compared to the origin characters... enjoy the story and happy New Year.I'm going to revise the fourth chapter

Summary
Safe now in the Emerald Grove, the heroes rest up and to gather resources, Veritas takes an opportunity to clean her precious cloak after she used it to blind an Intellect Devourer. Only to have someone to interrupt her while she does her laundry.
Author's note, I added another mercenary to the mercenary group you first encounter at the gate, mainly because I did not want to use any cannon characters because I was uncomfortable with doing so. So better to make up a character.
Trigger warning for story, racism and attempted rape in the next chapter.
Edit: I am a terrible friend because I forgot to mention I had a friend help me write this chapter. I had my friend help me write this chapter due to lack of confidence. She's a good friend
