Summary
Lan Wangji's mid-Autumn Festival letter to Wei Wuxian inspired this work. I found myself wondering how, after the events of the novel, the dynamics had shifted so starkly.
So... I wrote it out.
I hope you enjoy!

Summary
Wei Wuxian tensed. Lan Wangji could only tolerate Jiang Cheng in small doses. Truth be told, sometimes he felt the same. He was more than a little annoyed by Jiang Cheng’s habit of secretly following others around, rather than having an actual conversation. It wasn’t that he was immune to the flash of regret that crossed over Jiang Cheng’s features.
Really, why was it that no one could just leave the past alone?
