Summary
Karthus never snores. He sleeps like the dead, quiet and still, so still that it almost looks like he isn’t breathing. Morderkaiser watched him fall asleep on a flight once and he’d remained eerily motionless, temple pressed to Morde’s shoulder even throughout the vicious turbulence. He hadn’t woken, hadn’t moved, hadn’t sharply inhaled or exhaled, and some part of Mordekaiser had wished it was because of him, but deep down he’d known it wasn’t, that Karthus is simply abnormal.

Summary
Ezreal’s way too short for Kayn to be afraid of him. He likes pastels and glitter and stupid shit. Maybe if he was a little taller Kayn would consider the possibility of being intimidated, but he’s not, so he isn’t. Kayn breathes fire, rolls his eyes on repeat and oozes disrespect, so Ezreal telling him he’s ‘in trouble, go upstairs,’ doesn’t bother him. He’s been in trouble tons of times.

Summary
She’s been drinking, off and on while everyone waits out the hot sun. The bar is full, the saloon is full, and it’s late afternoon when she first notices him, but he’s probably been noticing her for a long while, because when their eyes meet he’s immediately looking away, like he’s been staring. His face is hidden under the brim of his hat.
Yone keeps an eye on him, though things are a little hazy. The dead might not breathe much, but they can still drink, so she’s learned. Funny how these things work out.

Summary
Kayn gets kicked out Thursday morning. Technically it must’ve happened Wednesday evening, but Kayn hadn’t been there, he’d been on a bender across town all night. It’d rained in the early, early morning, and when he’d gotten back to the house all his stuff had been scattered on the curb and mostly soggy, and the garbage men were in the middle of lifting it all into the back of their truck, since Thursday is garbage day.
Not Kayn’s finest hour.

Summary
In Shurima the sky is so wide that Talon might die, and the land is the same, great curving dunes, sparse trees and thin, rocky spires. He misses the buildings, he misses being invisible, even if he doesn’t deserve it anymore.
Father is dead. Father is dead and it’s Talon’s fault.
(Talon needs some cheering up. Akshan is here to help.)

Summary
The Primordian shrinks in size, but it doesn’t happen right away. Over the period of a week he transforms, and every time Seraphine looks at him he’s just a little bit smaller, the difference miniscule enough for her to wonder if it’s only her imagination, but by Sunday he’s not fifty feet, more like fifteen, and the problem of what to do with him becomes a lot more manageable.

Summary
Even Hwei, with all his practice, had struggled. In the end he’d smeared his fingers where the brights should be, until the gold paint became a haze of feeling and luminous energy beneath it, with something waiting in the dark corners. This too is Jhin.

Summary
After that chance encounter with Akshan on the rooftop, Talon finally determines that he can no longer lay idle and sulking in bed. His scar still hurts, but that’s more of a fact of life, like breathing, so he bears it, and through his roaming he discovers that Urzeris after dark is not as quiet as it had initially seemed, Talon just hadn’t known where to find the noise.

Summary
Dying is nasty business. Talon deserves a gentle death, but better yet, he does not deserve one at all. That is why Akshan runs, because some people don’t deserve what happens to them. And even if they did, why shouldn’t Akshan get to be a little selfish sometimes? Nobody is perfect, Akshan certainly isn’t trying to be. Life’s more fun that way.
