Description:

The universe is ending. An alternate take on how the Pocket Books' novelverse might have ended (in lieu of the Star Trek: Coda trilogy).

Notes:

This story is - and probably always will be - incomplete. The novelverse had so many threads to its tapestry, I could never hope to tie all of them off. Rather, this piece offers a framework for an end to the novelverse's great story. We can imagine a great many more conversations that happen in this story but are not yet written. If you find yourself inspired to write such a conversation - perhaps between Worf and Alexander, or Quark and Rom, Seven and Hugh Cambridge, Dulmur and Lucsly, among the O'Brien family, or even a moment of sibling bonding between Jake and Rebecca - please feel free to do so, and I will happily link to it here.

This story contains significant spoilers up through Star Trek: Destiny, minor spoilers from the Typhon Pact books, modest spoilers for the Cold Equations trilogy, and minor-ish spoilers for the last Voyager novel, "To Lose The Earth". That said, none of those should be considered "required reading" -- this story is mostly standalone, and mostly focuses on the original characters from the shows.
