Summary
Thousands of years into the future, Xie Lian decides that he and San Lang should take a small, casual, 60-year vacation to the mortal realm. Ghost City is lovely, but it’s nice to interact with the living every now and again.
However, settling into a quiet, well-off neighborhood in suburban Texas of all places doesn’t make life any less… chaotic. Feng Xin and Mu Qing are always fighting like an old married couple, Heaven continues fearing Xie Lian’s penchant for bad luck and misfortune, and somehow, even in the modern world, the occasional ghost still finds a way to cause a ruckus amongst the mortal realm.
Join Xie Lian and Hua Cheng as they battle a haunted hotel piano, the homophobic Homeowner’s Association, and their own inner demons. Summary
He Xuan is the eccentric type. The most eye-catching part of his appearance has to be his earrings. They’re long and dangly. Sometimes he wears gold, feather-like things on either ear. Other times, morbid little fish skeletons hang from the sides of his head. There are days when he opts for something a bit more elaborate, filling his canvas of cartilage with a litany of piercings, each piece as usual as the last.
He may be the most unusual marine biology PhD student Dr. Santos has ever met, which is saying a lot.
Or: Two thousand years after Jun Wu’s fall, it’s only natural that He Xuan eventually takes an interest in marine biology. With his bonefish by his side and the friends he secretly cares about constantly interrupting his research, he finds that using boats to study marine life is much more fulfilling than sinking said boats.

Breathe in. Breathe out. Xie Lian gets it; San Lang is gorgeous. But can the women (and men) who throw themselves at San Lang not be so shameless? Like, come on! Xie Lian is right there. He’s strolling down the sidewalk with San Lang, and they’re holding hands, and for crying out loud, San Lang is shielding him from the sun with the parasol. Xie Lian may be aloof, oblivious, and perhaps even a bit ditzy. It’s not like he was born yesterday, though!
