Summary
As he stands in the tilted, smoking remains of the Chimaera with Thrawn’s body at his feet and the cheers of the fighter squadrons echoing over the comms, he knows they’ve failed.
That Ezra has failed. Just like every Jedi before him.
Many children of The Empire fought their whole lives to free the galaxy from darkness and tyranny. Some gave everything they had and more for the hopes of a better future, only to find themselves on the precipice of galactic war again in their lifetimes.
But what if the next war they fight isn't a desperate scrape to preserve what little light is left, but an opportunity to save what was lost before their time?
What if the force truly gave them a chance this time? The chance to change everything?
