Summary
"And then my soul saw you and it kind of went, 'oh, there you are. I've been looking for you.'"
Alternatively, a love letter to the coming-of-age rite of passage that is being in your early twenties and realizing everything sucks.~~~
“Are you okay?” He asks softly, stopping short of personal space and waiting for a response. There’s a distant streetlamp throwing some of the stranger’s features into relief, but Beomgyu can only focus on the tears streaming down his face. The only recognition he gives that he’s been spoken to is a small twitch of his head, a tightening of his arms around his torso - he’s very underdressed for the cold, Beomgyu notes. He follows the strangers’ eyes to what he can’t stop staring at. It’s just some graffiti, as far as Beomgyu can tell. Just some words. He finally reads them:
You are alive.

Summary
“Jun?” His voice is scratchy in a way that makes Yeonjun cringe with empathy pain.
“Hey, Beomie, it’s me,” Yeonjun steps fully into the room as he speaks, circling around the bed.
“Don’t come any closer,” he warns gravely, “it’s the plague.”
Yeonjun snorts, but his amusement is tempered by his concern over how miserable Beomgyu sounds. “I’ll take my chances.”
“I mean it,” Beomgyu insists, and Yeonjun is close enough now to see the serious little furrow between his brows. It’s endearing, really, but the fevered flush to his cheeks is too disquieting for him to pay proper attention to that.

Summary
When Kai had approached him with the rubric for his music production project, a game plan, and puppy eyes, he’d been happy to agree to help. It was, after all, Kai’s project at the end of the day.
He’s never imagined doing music as anything more than a hobby. Little scribbles on paper are nice. Covers are nice. He can play a few chords or show off a few lines and know that they’re good because they exist in the little bubble of a snippet. He can imitate art that someone else already made worth listening to. His music has always been a party trick, something he can whip out to show off the best of his ability without ever having to worry about the rest of his portfolio because it was all just for fun. He worried - worries - that making it anything more than that will slowly but surely kill his love for it. That sitting in a meeting with a professor, a producer, a label, peeling him apart lyric by lyric and chord by chord will take everything fun and slowly compress the life out of it.
And that brings him to the problem - he still had fun.
