Summary
He gently ran a finger over the rainbow smear just behind the black writing, his thumb matching the width of the smear. He swallowed as he hid his face against his pillow. He sniffled as he began to just cry into his pillow, arms wrapping around it as he tried to just muffle his cries.
He wanted his mom right now, but his mom was away at work, and he had no friends to consulate in.
He sniffled as he heard his phone vibrate, and he reached over to grab it.
‘Happy Birthday, Nerd.’
He swallowed and just cried harder.

Summary
“I don’t want to answer him.”
“That’s okay, you will eventually, he’s not going to drop this.” Midoriya responded with a smile. Shinso stared at him with an unimpressed look, but allowed him to drag Shinso to the Cat Cafe with two sets of the friend groups.
He ignored the warmth that was wrapped around him as he sat in between Midoriya and Bakugou, centered in the mass of the two friend groups. He was quiet, but that seemed to be okay, as he was at least interacting enough to show he was there still. The cat purring on his chest made him smile, and he ignored the flash of a camera.
He smiled as he saved the image to his phone when Midoriya got his number and sent it to him. It was, apparently, his contact image now.
