Vazmed is an elf, not born to a Dalish clan, but found and brought to one. He was sent to the conclave to protect the one sent to spy. He knows close to nothing about human culture, even their language is foreign to him. In truth he knows about nothing of any culture. He was born in the Deep Roads, protected by a sprite of protection. He grew up their, with two spites. His first language is the one his surrogate mother knows best; Elvish. He also learned old dwarven though magical means. The spell that bestowed that upon him also made it impossible for him a learn a language by any other means then magical. The Hero found in her last expedition to the Deep Roads and she brought him to surface and placed him with a clan. There he grew close with one of the male hunters. After a year of not understanding anything the other said, and having to find odd way to communicate, Vazmed gave into his best friends wishes to perform the spell. It was not completed properly, thus only gaining him understanding of the spoken word. He is know halving to lead an Inquisition.
