“Don't you really think you're going there?” Barty asked right away.
“Of course he has to go!” Evan replied, “He has to show him that he doesn't care about him anymore, how many years have it been, 6 years?” Regulus nodded, so Evan continued “Regulus will show up with someone decidedly sexier than James Potter, banging her ex-boyfriend in the face that he's not the only one who has moved on.
Barty snorted and crossed his arms. You could hardly find anyone sexier than James Potter, that idiot Barty had been comparing himself to for six years, and he already hated anyone who would accompany Reg to the wedding. He would have liked to object, propose another plan, or even tell Regulus not to go and finally get over that short relationship he had had with his brother's best friend six years earlier. But since Barty was an idiot, he asked instead, “Do you already have someone in mind, Rosier?”
Evan shook his head and Barty looked at Regulus, who had remained strangely silent. “What if...he was one of you?”
