“Kasuga?” Kiryu’s voice broke the silence, soft and steady as he noticed the hesitation on Kasuga’s face.
Kasuga’s expression faltered, and after a long pause, he lowered his eyes, gently taking Kiryu’s hand in both of his. His tone was solemn, yet resolute as he finally spoke.
“I… I want to spend whatever time we have left together, Kiryu-san.”
Kiryu’s eyes widened slightly, but he said nothing, meeting Kasuga’s gaze with quiet intensity.
“Am I being selfish for wanting this?” Kasuga asked, his voice laced with nervousness and vulnerability.
“…No,” Kiryu replied after a moment, a faint smile playing on his lips. “If anything, you could afford to be a little more selfish.”Series
