basically, reader is ex-DSO who now does legally ambiguous military contract work, Leon is still with the DSO. reader is from a small village decimated by the virus and saved by the military when they were a child, just imagine the mass effect colonist/lone survivor type backstory except shepard got kicked for the 300k batarian death toll. what can i say, i like 'em traumatized.
