Part 1
Survival is all that matters when V's life goes from complicated to clusterfuck. She's a broken doll on the run from the SoCal cartel, her (almost) ex-husband wants nothing more than to see her dead, her first love returns to Night City after disappearing a decade before, and then there's Vik—the complication she didn't know she wanted.
When Jackie asks for help pulling off the heist of a lifetime, V agrees—better judgement be damned. Of course, it all goes tits-up in the epic fashion that could only happen in Night City. V wakes up, only to learn Jackie's been kidnapped by Arasaka and the klepped Relic that saved her life is going to kill her—sooner rather than later.
Life with the Empress of Chaos might come with more baggage than a Kang Tao cargo shipment, but no one could ever say it's boring.
