Summary
Today, the Starfire Princess and him are in a full-fledged food fight once again. “Sour.” Kori says, messily licking a foaming piece of lemon meringue off of his cheek. Dick dodges her. “Just the way I like it.”
“Sweet.” He uses his finger to spread cherry fudge against her jaw. “Just the way I like it.”
“I’ll get you back for that.” She threatens, standing to reach for the pudding.
Dick stands in a rush, hands out defensively. “I don’t like pudding.”
“Since when?”
“Since now!"
Wrist deep into a sickening mustard-garlic-vanilla pudding, Kori stares at him, seriousness lining her features. “I don’t believe you.”
It makes him crack up and lose all composure. “You—look—ridiculous!” Cue wheezing air and loud laugher, blue eyes crinkling. Kori looks awestruck, mouth parting slightly, and it sobers him up pretty quick. “What?”
“Nothing, I just—that’s the first time I’ve heard you laugh.” She says, voice almost a whisper, like it’s a secret. “I’m just enjoying the moment, Nightwing, carry on.”

Summary
In the chariot with him is Roy Harper, a duke who takes his hand to help him down and spins him around Martian and Manhunters after slipping a cloak around his shoulders and telling him that between the two of them, it’s him that would make the best knight. He squawks, gripping onto his arms for support.
“Prince?” Duke Harper says, laughter in his voice.
Jason quiets down, realizes that he was laughing—he, the impassive, unsmiling prince, was laughing—even now, he was smiling—content—no, happy—and nods. It’s not something that Father, or now Robin, would be happy about and that makes it all the better.
He’d do anything to piss them off. They deserve it.
“Yes, Duke?”
“Call me Roy.”
