Summary
The smell of burnt eggs and spices filled Hizashi’s nostrils. Unlike most semi-chaotic mornings in the Yamada-Aizawa household, which were full of sleepy yawns and sugar-hyped ramblings of the latest saga in Eri’s playdate dramas, this morning was loud.
“Are you going to stand there all day or make yourself useful and set the table?” Shouta’s voice interrupted his leering.
“Yeah, Mic, are you?” Shouta’s henchman taunted.Hizashi gritted his teeth and stalked toward the table, the same annoying rush of anger flooded his veins.
Shouta’s stupid little nephew, Sero Hanta, was the biggest nuisance in his life. It was bad enough that he had to see the little shit at school, now the kid thought it was fine to invade more of his life, barge into his safe spaces, and claim his couch and food and husband for himself? Not on his watch.

Summary
Christmas had never been his favorite holiday.
For most people, the freshly fallen snow and presents tied up with shiny red ribbons under a twinkling tree brought a jolly and cozy feeling, but it filled Sero with an inexplicable dread that lingered in every sip of hot chocolate he took and clung to him like an ugly sweater his abuelita would gift him.
He had no real reason to hate the holiday (especially when he thought about Roki’s family history. Yikes!). In fact, at face value, he seemed ungrateful for not liking it.
Yet, every year without fail, Sero counted the days until the holiday season was over so he could tuck his woes away with the daunting Christmas cheer, lay dormant and forgotten with the folded-up tree and dusty ornaments until the next time November rolled around and the whole cycle began again.
