There’s a recurring headache in MK’s head. (Throbbing, heavy, a weight on his head that threatens to pull him down to the ground.) MK isn’t dumb, he knows that they’re treating him like glass. (The looks, the questions, unspoken or not, everything.)
Their concern shouldn’t grate at MK, all things considered. But it is. Their concern is jarring, stuffy.
It's totally a reason as to why he's in New York, a bag in tow and bunking with a married couple of a world renowned engineer and neurosurgeon who both double as superheroes as a side job.
