Summary
When Alix was asked to befriend an adept who doesn’t conduit, he didn’t expect that a month later he’d be tying a red ribbon about Kat’s throat and calling her his kitty. Adepts aren’t usually allowed to be part of a collaring, but the woman is under the impression that she never needs anything from anyone ever, and Alix thinks this might be the best way to help her.
Or, when an extremely hyper-independent wizard agrees to be collared and has to be completely dependent on her caster for two weeks. For everything. And that means *everything.*
And the collaring might just be what both of them needed.
(Additional Content: From chapter 33 onward is "The Fox," which is a story immediately following "The Collaring." It follows Kat's queer platonic partner, the half-Vix Oakie, as they learn to not only handle their partner's newer relationship with Alix, but how to start healing from their own past traumas.)
(COMPLETE! Written before Odyssey was published.)

Summary
Astrea Soliel, book conservator and translator, was perfectly content with her life. But after her Granddam’s will designates the half-Maeve prodigy as sole heir to the Nocturne fortune, family members who ignored Astrea for decades suddenly come crawling out of the woodworks to try and get a cut of the wealth. Even worse, there’s a flood of marriage proposals from all over Maeven and beyond, all hopeful that the heiress will consider one of them as a sire for her own heir.
So the very uninterested-in-that-bullshit Astrea decides she’d rather not deal with all the drama, and fucks off to go learn magic. And though it’s been a decade since they last saw her, Cancassi is delighted Astrea’s finally joining them at The Crux. Even if Cass can tell something’s up with their old friend, beyond the obvious. But she’s here, they’ll figure out what’s wrong eventually, and until then, the exhausted Astrea can enjoy being told what to do like the wonderfully submissive cumslut she is.
Because she's so damn tired of making the choices.
