Summary
Blade did not think of himself as beautiful. His mind was held together by scattered memories and the voice of a woman that subdued his mara. His skin had been mangled, wounded to the extent that there were more scars than flesh. He had grown used to the wary stares people gave him.
Caelus, however, never once looked at him with disgust. Rather, he regarded Blade as something beloved, something desirable. To Blade, Caelus was a constant by his side, and eventually something he found precious. But like the coward he was, Blade never told Caelus how he felt.
(Or rather, Blade’s fragmented memories of Caelus and his regrets of what could’ve been.)
