Joe walks back over with the first aid kit. He sets it on the small table, then sits Miya down. He puts Miya’s feet on the table so his legs are straight out. He tips Miya’s head up to meet his eyes.
“You look like you have a concussion.”
“I think I do. My head hurts.”
Joe hums, turning back to the road rash that’s covering Miya’s right leg and part of his left.
