Summary
He didn’t have to see her face to know. Her entire body was turning red– the tips of her ears, her shoulders, her neck. It was all bright red. He let out a small laugh as he got up and left the room.
“Lisanna, Elfman, let's go. Now,” he heard her snap as she stormed through the guild, her vision not leaving the floor. Her hands were still holding onto her braid. Her younger siblings followed, whining about having to leave so early.
Crossing his arms, he sighed, knowing he had started something dangerous. There was a pit in his stomach as he watched her stop and wait for her siblings. For just a moment, their eyes met. His heart stopped.
Oh god. It was over for him. He knew it at that very moment.

Summary
It was so strange. How in just a split moment, all of her forgotten memories and feelings came rushing back to her. She hadn’t thought about the two of them together in years, and now she couldn’t stop thinking about how everything had ended between the two of them.
Mirajane didn’t know why it angered her so much. She knew that stuff like that happened all the time– he made it no secret. Laxus would talk about all the hot women he’d meet while away on jobs. But seeing it… that was something completely different.
They weren’t together by any means. She couldn’t remember the last time they had spent any time together. It was truly a mystery why all of this made her feel the way she did. She was over him, and had been over him for many, many years.
But her heart still stopped as the entrance opened, and there he was.

Summary
They say to flip a coin – that tug at the bottom of your stomach will tell you what you truly want. You don’t have to look at it. You may never know what the answer was supposed to be, but you’ll know what your heart wants.
What a load of bullshit.
Laxus looked at the coin in his hand and turned it over once, and then twice. The memories of the past few weeks flashed in his mind as he studied the coin. He thought of her and how he could never quite get her off his mind. How much he just wanted to be there with her, but how it’d never work out how he would want it to.
He looked at the coin once more before he flipped the coin and watched as it arched in the air before it started its descent back to him. His heart pounded as he caught it and stared down at his fist, knowing the answer to hsi question was right there. Slowly, he began unfurling his fingers.
