Summary
"Good evening, Baldur's Gate."
The voice was flirtatious, like the person was trying to seduce everyone present with those four words alone. Before Gale had any time to process the sudden butterflies in his stomach, there was a massive uproar from the assembled people as a man walked out onto the stage. He was almost sure he'd stopped breathing, his eyes fixed avidly on the pale elf as he took a deep, flourished bow and grinned out at his adoring audience. Under the stage lights, Astarion's silver hair shimmered like the moon in a clear sky and his eyes stood out red, contrasting with dark eyeliner.
Gale suddenly understood why this band was called Five Inch Fangs.
Astarion raised a hand and then slowly brought his finger to his lips, and the noise ceased. The amount of power that was held in that simple gesture, in the way red eyes scanned over the crowd in silence, was enough to make Gale's legs feel weak. He prayed Wyll couldn't tell just how much he was gay panicking, and also hoped his cheeks weren't as red as they felt.

Summary
Alfira seemed to still be running damage control, with Astarion's smear campaign still going viral online, and with every news station jumping on the band wagon with the metaphorical torches and pitchforks, it was obviously becoming extremely hard to keep venues from pulling out of what could become a reputation destroying deal.
Gale quietly stewed over it all once they had all boarded their train and Daggerford quickly flew by and became suburbs, then countryside. Astarion was letting him sit in his lap, ear pressed against his cold chest to simply hear the air entering and exiting his lungs, with no pulse to drown it all out. The wizard had adjusted to the silence of his lover's chest cavity very quickly, and now he barely registered it as a discrepancy between the vampire and everyone else he knew; it was just normal. And that was perfect. No abnormal behaviours, no unexpected differences, and no waiting for the other shoe to drop. It was just him, the lack of heartbeat he associated with his lover, and the blue sky to glower at as he thought about all the absolute bullshit being spread about his perfectly lovely partner online.
