Summary
He realises staying in the room was a mistake when Maki’s nostrils flare, and his eyes dilate a little as they make eye contact for a second. Harua’s quickly changing eyes and scent betray him too quickly and he looks away as quickly as he can; no matter how he tries to rein his instincts in, being stuck in the same square metre of space as Maki is doing no favours for Harua, or for the boy in front of him, either.

“You’re mine,” Harua breathes out, “Alpha.” Maki can’t help but stare down at his bunny-pink lips, shiny and plump, even in his shock at Harua’s sudden confession.
Harua watches Maki intently as his adam’s apple bobs up and down. It’s not often that he allows himself to relinquish control, but he finds his interest thoroughly piqued at Maki’s reaction to him like this.It's Harua's first heat since Maki presented. Harua can't really pinpoint how, but he knows things are different.
