His fingers drifted almost absently to the tender spot on his neck, brushing over other’s mark as if testing its reality. “Well, now that you’ve finally stopped being an idiot about it…” he began, his tone dripping with sarcasm.
Sonic raised an eyebrow, his expression shifting to one of mock offense. “What’s that supposed to mean?”
Shadow smirked, his crimson eyes narrowing with a glint of playful mischief. “It means,” he said, voice low and deliberate, “I’m making my claim now.”
