She hummed to herself as she poured heaped teaspoons of instant coffee into their respective mugs. It struck him then, as he watched her, that she was beautiful, which he had always known, sure, but - well, it had been a fact of life, not something that he felt. Until recently.

Summary
What he was feeling now was everything. It was all-encompassing, it was painful, it was sickening. He momentarily thought that he was having heart problems (which he was going to ignore, of course, you think he was going to see a doctor? Hah!), before realising nope, that’s just what his heart did when he was around Sam. His pulse raced, his stomach floated, his head was a soupy mess of thoughts (even more so than usual), fact led to fact led to image led to confusion led to face led to Sam, Sam, Sam.
She looked at him and he just about started wagging his tail.*
Sam has noticed Evan spiralling lately, and she's concerned.
Evan is spiralling because he's in love with his best friend.
... I don't think he's realised they're dating yet.A cute idea that came to mind from Brennan describing evsam's relationship in a very open-ended way, and letting Danielle confirm it as romantic. Basically thought, what if Evan did the same thing? He's not gonna jump to conclusions!
