Summary
Izuku didn’t do anything, but he was still watching the CEO’s face. He saw when the man clocked Izuku’s atrociously red Q shoes and the way the CEO’s lip immediately curled in disgust.
Then he saw when the man jerked and half turned to face behind him, still moving jerkily as another man in a hoodie fired bullet after bullet into him. A woman screamed, racing her way into the safety of the hotel to Izuku’s left as the killer met Izuku’s eyes and nodded, flashing a quick hand sign Izuku recognized as a way the American quirkless community used to subtly connect with each other. Then the man took off, running in the opposite direction as fast as he could.
Holy fucking shit, that just actually happened.
Izuku stared down at the broken, bloody body of the CEO for a few moments, tired brain still processing all of that, before he realized there was construction leading into a road block the way the vigilante ran, plus an accident that still had a heavy police presence.
God fucking damn it.
Izuku took off after the guy, just hoping he didn’t have enough of a head start that Izuku couldn’t catch up.

Summary
Being driven out of New York by a strange man with a green-haired boy she’d never met before on Nedzu- the smartest creature on the planet and the most infamous modern cryptid in Japan’s- dime, it was impossible not to escape the reality of the situation. Just as Julia was about to really start panicking, movement caught her eye. Izuku (as he told her his real name was) was offering his hand if she wanted it. Julia stared at it for a second, then took it.
Izuku squeezed Julia’s hand lightly, hoping it was comforting. He didn’t really know how to do that, it wasn’t like he’d ever had friends since Bakugo turned on him, but they were the same, sort of.
They were from different countries, with different lifestyles, hell Julia actually did have a quirk (Green Thumb, she could grow anything, at nearly any speed), but they were both way too young to be trying to survive in a world that didn’t want them. Too young to know what to do when you didn’t have anywhere else to turn.
aka ive decided to turn this into a series, should be fun

Summary
“You trust Nedzu, right? It’ll be fine.” Izuku still wasn’t concerned about it. The chimera could probably take over the world if he wanted, and he wouldn’t hesitate if the world decided to come for anyone he considered pack.
“Trust is a… strong word.” Julia muttered, sinking back into the bars when a large boy with a tale was pushed into her space by the crowd. He turned and apologized despite it not being technically his fault, which was nice of him.
Nedzu weirded her out, but not because he was a chimera. In her opinion, Japan had gotten used to him and his antics. The rest of the world just wanted to know how he got away with putting his students in danger the way he did. Like, sure, he produced amazing heroes, but at what cost? Izuku and their parents seemed content to be under the umbrella of the principal’s dubious safety, but she wasn’t convinced. She’d watched the sports festivals and heard Izuku ramble about his personal lessons with the rat- she hadn’t decided whether under Nedzu’s protection was actually safe.

Do you know who Charlie Kirk is?”
“...yeah.” Julia’s eyes narrowed. Where was this going? Of course she knew who Charlie Kirk was- he’d started as a meme before turning himself into an alt-right talking head. There was no quantifying the amount of harm he’d encouraged, if not outright done himself. “I may have been raised in America before I was adopted, but that doesn’t mean I agree with him.”
“No, I didn’t think you did.” The dark haired girl rushed to assure her, putting one of her hands on top of Julia’s where it rested on top of the table. “”You’re very sweet. No, he died.”
“What?” Evil people didn’t just die. “How?”
“It looks like he got shot at a speaking event. In Utah? Am I pronouncing that corr- oh.” The poor girl didn’t even have the chance to get the sentence out before Julia half-snatched her phone to get a look at the headlines plastered across the social media site Ige had pulled up.
It was true. He had been shot, in the neck looked like. Of all the people in the world, the guy who’d openly said victims of gun violence were an expected consequence of the second amendment and that was worth it had been fucking shot.

Barely a week into the semester and 1A was already known for never being silent. Kan headed to 1B a little early the Monday following 1A’s rescue training because he needed to set a few things up and realized it was too quiet in the hall.
The voices of a handful of students that’d already arrived echoed, but none of them belonged to any of Aizawa’s hell class. Cautious and ready to call in back up (it wasn’t an overreaction when one, if not both, of the man’s kids were probably involved, he peeked in.
Julia stood in front of Bakugo’s desk, hands on her hips and fuming, locked in a stare-down with the spiky blonde. Izuku was sitting on top of Shinso’s desk, silently eating a granola bar, while Shinso sat in his chair, coffee clutched in both hands. Neither made a move to stop what was happening. Kan’s phone was in his hand in an instant as he slowly backed back down the hall.
“It’s too early to deal with your bullshit.” Shouta reluctantly answered the call. “This better be worth it.”
“Suck it up, Aizawa- we’ve got a Code M. You’re needed in your classroom immediately.” All traces of sleep left Shouta’s body in an instant.
“Target?”
“Bakugo.”
