“Your Visa ends today,” Ann pipes in. “You need to play.”
“Niragi, you are playing,” Aguni voice makes a shiver run down his spine. “You don’t have a choice.”
He is the Beach number four, so he guesses it’s not that weird that he’s unlucky.
“If you make me fail behind you’re going to wish for a laser on your head,” Niragi says, leaning on the table to be closer to Chishiya. “That would be a gentle death compared to me.”
“You’re thinking too high of me Niragi,” Chishiya and that stupid smile of his infuriates him. “I don’t care enough about you for being scared of your theatrics.”
Niragi is about to jump over the table when Aguni’s hand rest on his shoulder and makes him sit down again.
“Stop fighting, save the energy for tonight games,” he says, eyes glaring daggers at Niragi. “Behave for once.”Hatter sends Niragi and Chishiya into a game together. What can go wrong?

“Whatever, roll 20.” Sadly for Arisu, Karube is a laid-back DM. As long as it brings chaos and fun to the game, he lets it pass.

“Okay, so you went to the same high school?”
“Yes,” Arisu says. He points at Karube and Chota too. “The three of us meet in school. Kuina and Niragi were also friends since high school, but they went to a different one.”
“And Arisu and I knew each other because of some online games,” Niragi adds. “But I never had the guts to meet in person because, you know, the internet, stranger danger.”
“And then I started to go to a new gym, where I meet Usagi,” Kuina keeps going with the weird story about how everyone knew about everyone at some point. “And I met Chishiya when he was still in med school.”
“You forgot about how you condemned me to meet Chishiya too.”The party finally arrives at the King of Clubs, but that's not the play of pretend Kuina and Niragi worry about when a message about a high school reunion arrives. Chaos ensues.

Summary
When they make it home two and a half hours later and Chishiya opens the door, there are a lot of shoes in the genkan, and their friends’ heads snap to the door like a bunch of meerkats.
“One day I’ll call pest infection,” Niragi greets, kicking off his boots.
“The key was for emergencies, Kuina,” Chishiya adds, hanging his coat from the perch by the door. “You couldn’t wait until we got home?”
Sometimes he wonders why he’s friends with these people.
And then he remembers that he didn’t really get the option to say no before getting dragged in the middle of the mess.
When he told them that they could resume the D&D campaign, he expected at least thirty minutes of being alone between coming back from home and their friends arriving, but it looks like he asked for too much.
After all, it’s been a while since they last played, and everyone seems pretty excited about reuniting again.Or the party reaches the Jack of Hearts and plays one more game.
