Summary
Your eyes ran all over the place until they eventually reached the side of Jing Yuan’s neck, specifically that one spot a sparrow would come out of. Memories of multitude of times you bore witness to a bird coming and going into Jing Yuan’s hair flooded your thoughts. Did it permanently live there? If so, where did the bird go when Jing Yuan washed his hair? Has the bird made a nest in there?
Unconsciously you had been intensely staring at Jing Yuan’s hair. After some time, you became self-aware and blinked a few times. The next thing you knew was that something wide effortlessly lifted your chin. At some point, Jing Yuan picked up a book and rolled the edges in his grip. He held your chin up with it, a nonchalant yet lazy expression present on his face.

Summary
All went dark, the lights were turned off. One could hear some mechanisms moving and the next second the room was a tad less dark - there were two spotlights shining, one in the middle of the room, the other closer to the wall. One shone on a man. His hair was put up in a half ponytail - half tied with a red ribbon and half loose. Wearing a white suit with gold accents, he looked like a prince charming. Countless eyes were on him.
People parted around him, creating an empty circle in the center of the ballroom. He stood in the middle. Jing Yuan waited, patiently. A golden rose in hand. His eyes were warm and welcoming as he watched a figure amble out of the crowd that surrounded him.
A continuation of another work of mine, can be read separately but I recommend reading the previous one in the series first.
