Summary
“You good over there?” Daniel asks. A conversation will at least be a good distraction from the building pressure in his lower abdomen, and now he’s got something else to focus on: the beautiful, eldritch, eternal mystery that he, somehow, has ended up in bed with. He’s never mad about getting to think about Armand.
“Yes, all is well,” says Armand, and there’s a weird, distant note in his voice that says he’s not all the way focused on what he's saying.
“You sure? You sound a little, I dunno, far away.”
“On the contrary,” Armand says, “I can assure you that I am extremely present.” He glances sideways at Daniel, amber eyes almost glowing in the low light of the street lamps, and says, perfectly innocently, “And you? Is all well with you, beloved?”

Summary
Daniel, who knows about as much about the technical aspects of oil painting and art history as he does nuclear physics, has subsequently slammed three rum and Cokes and two glasses of water, just for something to do. He’s been trying to project at Armand to let him up so he can go to the bathroom for almost half an hour now, but Armand has remained unmoving, not responding to even his more pointed thoughts.
You are doing this, he thinks at Armand, on purpose.
If you need me to move, Armand replies, you can always ask me out loud.

Summary
“C’mon,” says Daniel, “you know I’m always amenable.” He does a quick scan of the area, then adds, as nonchalantly as he can, “But maybe if we pass any buildings, we see if those keys unlock any of the bathrooms, I need a piss.”
Armand pulls the stolen keys out of his pocket and dangles them in front of his face, regarding them thoughtfully. “There are so many of them,” he says. “I don’t know where we would begin finding one to fit.”
Daniel holds back the laugh, even as his face reddens with the familiar mix of desire and embarrassment that Armand is so good at getting out of him. “I know you are capable of subtlety. That was not subtle,” he says.
