Summary
“We’ve been in each other’s relative vicinity twice in the last fifteen years,” is a lie. Blitzø has been around Fizzarolli much more than that, the jester just never knew. But there is a point he stopped trying to break and enter his way back into getting glimpses of Fizz's life.
It's one of the most miserable nights in his shit-stain of an existence. Blitzø wants to blame finally seeing the big blue chicken in person, but mostly he just blames himself.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes, as they say. It just sucks that's such a stupidly accurate phrase.

“Fucking Christ,” Blitzø groans, dragging a hand over his face, “This is going to make me feel really bad about myself, isn’t it?”
“Probably,” Asmodeus agrees honestly, “You don’t have to have this conversation with me. But if you get up and leave right now, I don’t think I’ll ever grow past just tolerating you for Fizz’s sake.”
Blitzø gets held back by Asmodeus after a date with Fizz, and they end up talking about a lot of things. But mostly the difficult feelings Asmodeus has towards the imp after all those years living rent free in Fizzarolli’s head.
