Summary
Belle and Wise Arna are New Eridu’s premier ice dancers. They dazzle crowds with their technically demanding yet artistic programs, and their careers are looking bright.
During the latest international competition, Wise starts receiving gifts from a mysterious sender. He has no idea whom they’re from, but he hardly has time to think about it after a series of disasters: Coach is hospitalized, his suppressed emotions blow up in his face, and he and Belle get into a fight. They’re mentally at their lowest—and yet, they muster the will to skate as planned.
To their surprise, Coach enlists their friends to deliver in her stead her signature gift: a custom bouquet of blue and orange carnations. Wise’s head is a mess of grief, but he’s grateful he has his family and friends.
And then a second bouquet lands on the ice.
