A two part butterfly effect canon divergence AU where Li Si Yu never gets a boyfriend after that time skip and Yu Xi Gu doesn't die, amongst other things. The excerpt below from the prologue of "Somewhere In Time" works pretty well as a preview of the series!

Yong Xing rubbed her shoulder, still thrown by the interaction she’d had with her brother’s gorgeous sharp-tongued ex. What she didn’t realise was that their collision was only the start of it all. A collision far more profound than the simple physical one that occurred on the bridge that day was underway. An irreversible collision of worlds with profound consequences that would cause ripples - nay, waves - in the future. Butterfly effect? If a butterfly wing’s simple flap could cause a ripple, imagine the ability of two people’s collision to change the future.

A simple bump, one person’s lack of apology and a biting remark would cause their fates to be inextricably linked from that moment on, and would change the fates of those around them too.

The series name, "Somewhere in time I must have loved you", is from me combining and modifying the English and Mandarin title of Taiwanese band Accusefive's album - called "Somewhere in Time, I Love You" in English. The Mandarin album title is actually the start of 愛人錯過 (Ai Ren Cuo Guo)! I may have looped it one too many times when writing this fic, which was initially supposed to be a canon-compliant extension of the show XD

The title of part 1, "Somewhere in Time", is the English name of Accusefive's song 愛人錯過 (Ai Ren Cuo Guo). The line in Part 1 of the Prologue where Li Si Yu first says “Your mum didn’t tell you to apologise when you collide with someone?” is from that song too.
