Well, this is it, I've officially hit ao3 generic rock bottom; I've named a story after a song lyric. ‘Out of My League’ by Fitz and The Tantrums, if you're wondering. This was meant to be a Valentine's Day drop, but it turns out editing takes eternity and it makes me want to cut my eyes out. Hate it. But this is THE BIG ONE. I've had a script planned out for this for around a year now, and had the idea for even longer. My definitive take and origin for my Silver, and part one of three in ‘A Life In Three Acts’. Will I ever write the other two acts? Who knows. Thanks for reading, comments are greatly appreciated, and hope you enjoy.
This takes place after the events of 06, after reality has been reset; And so Silver and Blaze have no memory of each other and are separated by both space and time. But before the events of Sonic Rivals; so Silver is still stuck in his post-apocalyptic future and hasn't met any of his friends yet.
Silver had the same dream every night. The hedgehog jolted up awake in panic, hyperventilating, tears streaming down his face. His hand stretched out reaching out for someone who wasn't there.
