Summary
Rook is something of a mystery that Neve wants to solve. She takes the opportunity to learn more while catching up on gossip in Dock Town. Caius wants to get to know her better too. He proposes a question for a question.
“This one quotes several magisters,” she said. “Several lies.”
“No kidding,” Rook muttered.
Neve rolled the paper up and handed it to him. “I paid so you can carry them. Seems only fair.”
“Ah, now I see why you wanted the company. And here I thought you liked me.”
“What, a big strong warrior like yourself can’t handle a few papers?” She continued down the city streets, Rook following. She wanted to ask about Dorian and Maevaris, but she suspected Rook meant it when he said that wasn't a story he was willing to share just yet. “How did you join the Shadow Dragons?”
