The conclusion of the Dragon’s Dance between Rhaenyra and her half brother Aegon has led to the deaths of many, with the rapidly declining birth rates only adding to the devastation loss. It is punishment from the Gods for plunging the realm to war, they say, a curse upon those who aided their mutual destruction.

Upon ascending to seat the Iron Throne, Aegon the Second of his Name has implemented a Repopulation Act in which all fertile omegas are to be distributed to high and minor lords, in order to save their lines from being extinguished.

Lucerys Velaryon is unfortunately one of the last omegas bearing fruit in his womb. Being of valyrian blood, his uncles have found it within their right to take what they deem necessary, for the future of the Targaryen dynasty.
