Summary
Kuroo had no idea how he’d pulled this off, but he wasn’t about to question it. He was many things—a single dad, a divorced man, a guy who definitely still had game—but above all else, he was adaptable.
And this time, he was going to make damn sure the date went right.

Summary
“Hey,” Daichi greeted softly, kicking off his shoes and rubbing the stiffness out of his shoulders. “You’re still awake?”
Suga hummed, not looking away from his screen. “Barely. Come look at this.”
Daichi padded over, dropping onto the futon beside him. “What is it?”
Suga tilted the screen toward him. “Baby clothes.”
Daichi blinked. “Uh. What?”
Suga grinned, clicking through a series of pictures. “Look at this. Imagine a tiny little human wearing this. A little hoodie with bear ears? Are you kidding me?”
Daichi’s heart did something strange in his chest. “You’re… looking at baby clothes?”
Suga huffed, rolling onto his side to face him. “Don’t look at me like that. I know we’re years away from even thinking about kids, but I just—” He bit his lip. “It makes me happy to imagine it.”

Summary
There’s a brief pause, the hesitation heavy through the line. “His name is Yamaguchi Tadashi. He’s four. He—” Another pause, and when Fujioka continues, her voice is careful, measured. “He’s coming from a severe case of abuse and neglect. It’s bad. We need somewhere safe for him, somewhere stable. I thought of you and Bokuto-san immediately.”
Akaashi exhales quietly, nodding despite the other person not being able to see him. “Of course. When should we expect him?”
“Tonight.”
Bokuto sits up immediately, his easygoing energy shifting into something sharper, more focused. “Is it a kid?” he mouths, and Akaashi nods before returning to the phone.
“I’ll have everything ready,” Akaashi says, already standing.

Summary
“Daddy, you’re sad again.”
Ryuu’s breath hitched. He opened his mouth, but no words came. What was he supposed to say? That he missed her so much that it physically hurt? That he still reached for her side of the bed some nights, only to be met with cold sheets? Every time he saw Yuu do something new—something she would have clapped for, kissed his forehead, and called him her little star—he ached with the weight of her absence.
He didn’t have to say it. Yuu already knew.

Summary
“We did it,” Daichi murmured, his voice rich with pride and something even deeper, something tender. “New city, new jobs… new home.”
Suga leaned into him, letting their bodies mould together as he tilted his head just enough for their cheeks to brush. “We really did,” he breathed. “It still doesn’t feel real.”
Daichi let out a soft chuckle, his arms tightening slightly. “It will, once we start tripping over Shō’s toys in every single corner of this place.”
Suga snorted, shaking his head. “Then I guess we should enjoy this tiny moment of peace while it lasts.”
