Summary
When the planet of Camber was glassed, only 81,313 of the original 5.6 million residents survived. Two of those survivors happened to demonstrate some impressive survivability. They happened to possess some very unique skills and expertise. They happened to be exactly what certain extremely sketchy military projects were looking for. This is the start of their rather disastrous tale.
Edited a bit and finally posted for RVB OC week on tumblr after years of sitting in my drive neglected. Despite being RvB flavoured towards the end, this admittedly leans more into the territory of being a Halo fic.

Summary
When the soldiers of Simulation Outpost 1-A and 1-B were reassigned, only three of them ended up relocating to Outpost 48-A. Two of these soldiers weren't actually meant to be there. They happened to be living a life full of lies, and weren't really sim troopers at all. They happened to be hiding away from the eyes of a very sketchy military organization. This is a continuation of their rather disastrous tale.

Definitely not up to my writing standards these days, but I don't really want to bother cleaning it up right now. Mostly written as a character study of how Alberta and Nova fit into the team dynamics during the Recollections trilogy.
