“Man, if you’re gonna flirt, just go already. The cops are here,” the webbed-up burglar groaned.
Anton jolted slightly, caught mid-stare. The guy with the candy choked on a laugh and turned toward him with an eyebrow raised.
“Really, Spider-Man?” he teased, unwrapping a piece of candy with one hand. “You needed a criminal to give you a push?”
Anton blinked behind his mask, mouth slightly open, completely unsure of what to say next to not embarrass himself even more.
All he knew was this: he had just stopped a robbery, possibly crushed a fridge, and now found himself blushing under a mask because of some guy with a bag of sour candy and moles on his cheek that created a constellation on it.
Love, apparently, was back on the table for the Earth’s youngest hero.
