Summary
“Hi honey…” he croons gently, taking in Steve’s broken expression. The omegas brow is pinched, eyes bleary, tears streaming down his cheeks, skin red and splotchy. Bucky reaches his hand up, rubbing the tender skin of Steve’s cheeks. It hurts to see Steve like this, his omega is usually so strong, proud. He kisses his nose, “I’ve got something I think could help, can you sit up baby?”
“M’not hungry Buck..” Steve croaks, pulling his blanket up, trying to hide himself.

An hour? Steve groans internally, clenching his hand around his phone. The message had felt so…robotic. None of Bucky's silly mannerisms coming through the text, no pet names or I love you. Not even one of his horrible goofy gifs that Steve adores. Something's off, biting his lip Steve heads to the kitchen, fingers tugging and fidgeting with his t-shirt. He takes his time lining a bunch of supplies on the counter. First aid kit, snacks, water bottle, fresh clothes, a towel. He feels as if he’s been pulled taut like a bowstring. Body stiff, Mind racing, playing one awful scenario after another...
