Summary
Were this a proper sports event, he'd have so many guys flocking to him that he'd have to swat them off, but this was just a phony scam for high-school-has-beens to relive their glory days.
Even the food was a sham: yes, let's get as many ex-jocks as possible, round them up in shirts that are prone to tearing, and let's invite all the junk food brands as sponsors! Someone up in the chain probably had the same tastes as Gajeel because the whole thing was too on the nose.
Gajeel thinks that he is one up on all the ex-jocks. Sting thinks that he has found himself two new guys to play with. Natsu knows that he is going to be waddling to the truck afterwards.
