Heathcliff laughs like a teenager in a high school hallway, teasing his crush. He reaches out to toy with the ends of Gregor’s hair; the other Sinner doesn’t stop him, just watches him as he idly plays with it. “So, like, we’re prolly gonna end up doin’ nothin’ in here for hours… right?”
“Probably. At least until Faust gets us out.” Gregor taps the ashes onto the floor. “Nothin’ we can do until then. You’ve got a couple of ideas?”
“Not a couple. More like one. If ya felt like it.” Heathcliff says, taking Gregor’s cigarette from him, stealing a drag himself. He holds it just out of Gregor’s reach, taunting, tempting the other man closer. “You game?”

Rodya and Yi Sang stumble down the street, their arms looped around the other’s. Rodya throws her head back as she laughs at Yi Sang’s slurred speech, face red as he leans in close to her, nuzzling his face against her skin like a particularly possessive feline. She strokes his neck with her manicured nail, watching him shudder as he pulls himself to his tip-toes to whisper a request in her ear. She feigns deep surprise just to see panic flit across his face.

“D-don’t lie to me. I’m not an idiot, you know? I told myself I’d never fall for a misdirection like that again,” he twitches, erratic; frightened, like a wild animal. Meursault can feel the air shift. Sinclair, predictably, had pushed himself off the deep end with his own thoughts. “Ah, it doesn’t matter. The destination is all the same. You are destined to be a sacrifice. Nothing can be done.”
Meursault understands what Sinclair is about to do before he does it.
