Summary
Henry lowered his rifle and strode forward, gloved hand outstretched.
Hans stared at it for a beat too long before grabbing it, letting Henry yank him to his feet. He adjusted the helmet with a sharp jerk, the adrenaline still buzzing under skin.
He didn’t need saving, he thought.
“I’ll admit…” Hans gritted out, voice rough “Hal… that wasn’t half bad.”
Henry tilted his head—just enough for Hans to catch the smirk behind his mask.
"Thank you...sir".

Summary
A biting sandstorm swallowed the spec-ops cargo plane whole as it touched down, forcing ground crews to shield their eyes and ears from the swirling grit. The moment the rear ramp lowered, exhausted operators in specialized gear emerged from the shadows of the hold, their heavy rucks slung over shoulders with the weary ease.
Lieutenant Capon descended last, boot striking the metal ramp with deliberate force as he adjusted his sunglasses. The desert air hit him like a furnace blast.
"Fucking heat. Again." he spat, jerking his gear strap tighter

Summary
The military truck with a red cross on its side jolted with every bump and pothole in the pathetic excuse for a road, speeding through the dense tropical forest, weaving between tangled vines.
"Fuck, bitch, drive more carefully, you’re not hauling rocks!" Samuel snarled, slamming his fist against the partition separating the driver’s cabin from the back, where the wounded soldiers lay.
He winced at the sudden flare of pain—his own right side was bleeding badly. His arm bore bullet wounds, and his leg was shredded with shrapnel from an explosion.
