Summary
When Eren is abruptly woken up from his slumber, he immediately feels that the air is different. The goddess opens his eyes, and is surprised to see Levi’s face, staring directly at him as he kneels over his resting body. He knows well that he isn’t allowed to be here without Eren’s permission – even moreso at night when the goddess would be at his most vulnerable. When their eyes meet in the darkness, the goddess senses desperation.
That is when Eren becomes aware that he is under attack.
An alternative story to 'Where the Forest Ends'. This story is entirely separate to the second part, 'Where the Demon Lies'.
