Shouto hums. “I didn’t come because you made me,” he says. “I came because I wanted to.”
It’s Katsuki's turn to stare this time. “Why?” he asks, short and simple.
“You called,” Shouto says, like it’s the most obvious thing in the world. Because why wouldn’t he come? He could’ve–should’ve left Katsuki to wallow in his sorrows alone, and would’ve been justified in that decision. Could have made fun of him too, or gotten angry at Katsuki for contacting him at such an hour. “So I came.”
