Description:

This fanfic series is made primarily as a tribute to FestivaLuna (Matsuri x Luna), formerly known as one of the best pairings in hololive until something broke these two apart without any signs of them ever fully reconciling back together as of the writing of this series.

Notes:

The stories featured in this series are putting emphasis on Matsuri's transition into becoming a generic, energetic cute girl (basically embracing her pre-established VTuber character) being the main cause for FestivaLuna's demise as, based from the author's observation as of recently, that is exactly what Matsuri has become. Unlike back when FestivaLuna was at its peak in 2020, Matsuri in her current personality has become very indifferent towards Luna, caring mostly for blonde-haired girls (most especially Nene who shares several character traits with her) due to her long-time personal obsession towards the blonde-haired Hoshikawa from the neighboring agency. Her highly social and also flirtatious nature also led her to focus on gaining the attention of newer hololive members, oftentimes just to flirt with. This new-member-seeking trait of Matsuri had been seen a few times even before she made her personality transition, but it wasn't until after the debut of Gen 6 (holoX) where that trait of hers went more into full display.

As for Luna, on the very few occasions where they were able to interact again primarily during larger-scaled collab events, her interactions with Matsuri no longer had that same playful and wholesome feel as before, nor did they ever spend much of their time together during such collabs. That gave the impression of Luna already giving up on Matsuri and chose to act indifferently towards her from there on. That seemed to be the case already since 2021 the moment Matsuri began to double, triple, or even quadruple-down on her Apex Legends addiction which would then give rise to SubaLuna.

Yet despite all of that, Matsuri had also begun distancing herself from the rest of hololive, streaming all by herself most of the time and making collab streams involving her and fellow hololive members grow increasingly rare, presumably due to her seeking to maintain her appeal as a solo streamer. Even if she did get into a collab, she'd join them seemingly only under these conditions:
- there are newer members present
- there are Gen 1 members present
- Nene is present

While Matsuri's addiction of playing Apex Legends and her tendency of getting drawn towards her fellow pro players outside of hololive were also major factors at causing FestivaLuna to be separated, these are not the focus of this series due to numerous non-hololive individuals being involved - except for Hoshikawa who do get mentioned on numerous occasions in the story.

Please note that there are still no clear official confirmations & clarifications as to why FestivaLuna stopped having anymore collabs with each other. The truth behind the pairing's demise is still (or will perhaps forever be) shrouded in complete mystery, so all of the info written above should be taken with a grain of salt and reader's discretion is STRONGLY advised.
