Summary
Griffin choked out a laugh, desperate to defuse the other’s boiling suspicion. “Christ, I could never kill someone. Come on, Sterling. You know I would never do something like that right?”
“Who did you kill?” Sterling ordered anyway, as the years of learning the pattern of Griffin’s eyes, what it meant when he curled his fingers versus flicking them through his thumb, knowing when he craved to scratch his neck yet refused to in hopes of appearing stable all coincided and crafted a tell for his lies. Griffin shivered, raising his chin to keep a tremble out of his voice.
“I did it for a good reason,” he whispered and against Sterling’s apprehension, he emphasized: “There are good reasons to kill.”
Griffin joins Hermes and learns that he and his friends have different opinions about what justice means.

Summary
“Seema threatened to divorce me last night,” Ray Nadeem admitted, listless in his hospital gown and struggling to breathe from the reddening binds around his midsection. “I tried to hide my bullet wound from her, so that I could feel like everything was okay. But she saw it, then yelled at me for lying and I don’t even blame her. Then she told me she would file.”
“I’m sorry, Ray. That sounds hard. That sounds really hard.”
“Yeah,” Ray laughed before pressing his palms into his eyes. “It is.”
Arms crossed, Poindexter shook his head. “God, I hope it all works out,” he continued, before scratching his face.
“I don’t know what I’ll do without my family. They’re everything to me,” Ray whispered. The branches of the fan twisted in his eyes, offering him the only distraction that turned the unrelenting numbness in his chest into a simple buzz.
“You’ll live, Ray. That’s what you’ll do,” Dex answered with a crisp nod of his head.

Summary
Ray didn’t ease his grip on Daredevil’s wrist despite the explanation. “Why do you want to talk?”
“You want the truth, don’t you? I know you wanna figure out whether or not Fisk has been spinning lies. Whether or not you’re right to trust him. Who’s at risk if you do.” The cadence of the devil's voice tapered as he continued and it seemed he’d forgotten about the gun pointed at his head. “I can help you find the truth if you stop letting Fisk play you.”
“How will you help me?” Streetlights popped to life, dyeing the streets yellow. A well of abeyance slowed their conversation.
“The man who attacked the Daily Bulletin is in the FBI.” A twitch of shock cued the devil to angle the gun away from his head. “Tell me exactly who it is once you find out,” he ordered as he stalked away, bounding up the windowsills and metal bannisters to reach the summit of the building and loom over New York.
Ray isn't exactly happy that Dex is killing people.
