Ethan turned Chris back to face him. He was sitting so close Chris could feel his body heat against his side. Ethan placed his bad hand against the Lycan scar.
“Can I make this one feel better?” he asked innocently.
“I-” Chris inhaled shakily.
He wanted this so bad.
“Yeah,” he croaked. “Knock yourself out.”

Ethan and Chris get some alone time, and Chris lets Ethan explore his scars; first with soft fingers, then with even softer lips.

“Ready to go?” Ethan asked cheerfully.
Mia snorted and slumped onto his lap, kissing him deeply. Ethan's arms wound around her immediately, tucking her against his warm chest. Mia sighed, and pulled away reluctantly.
“Why go anywhere?” she said. “I've got the perfect gift right here,” she added, pointing to Ethan's chest.
Ethan huffed a laugh, and kissed her gently once more.
“Tempting,” he admitted. “But I've got plans. And we have an 11am breakfast reservation.”

Over a year since their tragic experiences in the village, Mia and Ethan have carved a new life with a new addition to their family, and take some time to comfort each other on Mia's birthday.
