Summary

Summary
"We will meet soon," promised Viktor.
"Yes," said Jayce, like a promise of his own. Then he cheekily added, "Besides, it could be fun, playing rivals. See once and for all who's the better inventor."
"Ah." A sly smile now snuck onto Viktor's lips as well. "We are dropping pretenses, then?"
"My team is going to kick your butt."
"Stop talking about my butt, Jayce," chuckled Viktor and began walking away towards the Academy. "We are meant to be rivals."

No longer tethered to their timeline, Viktor and Jayce's gemstone allows them to inhabit other versions of themselves in another universe. There, the two are still in the Academy, and Hextech has yet to be invented, but it seems they have already met. The pair must quickly figure out what is the nature of their relationship in the public eye and blend seamlessly into their variants' lives before they end up derailing and dooming the entire timeline (again).Or: an excuse to write a secret relationship \ college rivalry au where Epilogue Jayce and Viktor can further explore their new relationship and mental states in peace, somewhat.
